KWA Gives Back

As a locally-owned and operated company, KWA Construction values the importance of giving back to the communities in which we serve. This support starts from the top-down with Brian Webster, KWA President.

Brian’s background in construction lends itself well to many community projects in the DFW-area.  Most recently, he volunteered to oversee the rehabilitation of the field house at St. Philips School and Community Center. This involved coordinating the work of 15 onsite trades, procuring in-kind material donations and managing the project. KWA Construction covered costs of the structure in excess of $270,000, which allowed the school to focus their existing monetary resources on the children that they serve.

Through his involvement with The Real Estate Council, Brian worked directly with the Harmony Food Pantry to convert it into a “customer choice” food center. This change allowed clients the freedom to choose which foods best fit their dietary and family needs, versus the standard pre-set box option they had received previously. Brian worked with the team to raise over $100,000 for the project, and assisted the nonprofit in assembling the upgraded shelving systems and stocking the store in anticipation of its grand reopening.

Brian has also been an active supporter of the Austin Street Center for the past five years, a nonprofit that specializes in caring for people experiencing homelessness in the Dallas area. He has supported the nonprofit through financial donations, as well as recruiting new supporters through KWA and volunteering in his free time.

Additionally, Brian has shown his support over the last 12 years for Samaritan Inn, a homeless shelter located in McKinney, Texas. His business has made donations in excess of $60,000 to the organization, and Brian actively promotes his involvement to other industry colleagues through the Multifamily Builders Council of the Dallas Builders Association to garner their support.

Brian is thankful to be in a position that allows him and his company to live out the Greek proverb, “A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they shall never sit in.”

KWA Construction actively supports the above charities, in addition to the following:

  • The Family Place
  • Mission Arlington
  • FFA
  • SPCA of Texas
  • Humane Society of North Texas
  • Dallas CASA
  • Youth with Faces
  • Come Read with Me
  • DFW Rescue Me
